The PhotographerClay Enos
Not exactly a business man but inspired by the notion of world travel and doing good things with a steady revenue stream has found Clay spearheading the OCC. Mixing equal parts creativity and wanderlust with a healthy dash of capitalist flare, the Cartel should provide a nice compliment to his day job as a photographer. Check out his work at clayenos.com.

The Journalist: Julie Beals
A lovely shout out to the woman who brought Clay into this coffee brain trust. As the Editor of Fresh Cup, Julie's knowledge and charm as our Cartel's consummate wordsmith keep our message current and concise.

The importer: David Griswold
Dave is the visionary "dotcom" guy, who'd had enough of Clay's talking about the OCC and stepped in with the wherewithal, generosity and foresight to make so much of the OCC become real. He's also founded and runs our importing company of record, Sustainable Harvest, and is a past President of the SCAA.

The West Coast Roaster: Mark Inman
Where would the OCC be without Mark? Nowhere. He's the turn-key operator and straight-talking optimist whose intellect is rivaled only by his good intentions. He also runs our roasting operation out of Sabastopol, Calif., Taylor Maid Farms, and is the current President of the SCAA.

The East Coast Roaster: Peter Giuliano
Peter has more things on his plate than most folks and yet he still has time to throw ideas our way while basking in the lingering light of the OCC's Big Bang. Peter is more notably known as Director of Coffee for Counter Culture Coffee and is the 1st Vice President of the SCAA.

The Buyer: Christy Thorns
Six months on the road every year hasn't softened Christy's enthusiasm for the OCC. She's one of our point woman in Allegro Coffee camouflage.

The Kick in the Ass: Ananda Grant
Ananda made this thing happen. She worked for Dave Griswold and took the OCC from a mishmash of Clay's musings and forged them into spreadsheet-readable action items. We owe her.

"Robber Parker": Fernando Seminario
Our little Sherwood Forest wouldn't be complete without some robbers stealing about. In this case, it's the alter ego of Fernando Seminario (a certified Q-Grader), the primary voice for our coffee's flavor profiles. The OCC knows all taste is subjective so Robber Parker's word, however valued, shouldn't hold you up from sharing your thoughts. Stick up for your opinion in the store's comments sections or with our Facebook group.

The Minstrel Ornithologist: Andrew Farnsworth
Dr. Andrew Farnsworth is our guitar-playing ornithologist. As a research associate with the Conservation Science Program at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology and a part-time tour leader for Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, Andrew sings the praises of the OCC. He generously shares his knowledge of bird migration and conservation and we in turn have him buzzing on shade-grown coffee.  Bird-friendly comes to life with Dr. Farnsworth in our coffee coop.

The WIne Guy: Tim Enos
Clay's father has spent a lifetime in the wine business. And with all the talk about the "wine model" in the coffee world, it just made sense that the OCC could learn a thing or two from him. Plus, retirement is lame.
