Aggravating and annoying Jul 06, 2010 I love coffee. Before my first cup in the morning, I'll admit I am rather cranky. So, add to that a horribly made coffee press and the results are not pretty. I bought this for work because that coffee maker is old and makes the coffee taste horrible (no matter how high quality the coffee is). My first sip, mouth full of grounds. After fiddling with it, I thought I would try it again. Same thing. The only reason I got to drink a cup of coffee that morning is because my very patient co-worker saw how distraught I was and poured the water through a coffee filter into a mug. Bottom line, buy another product, DON'T BUY THIS ONE. The only thing it will do for you is make you aggravated and annoyed...especially when you smell the wonderful aromatic coffee that you CAN'T drink.
Disappointed Jul 02, 2010 I thought I might be able to brew tea on the road and have something from which to drink it as well. Although it is advertised as working like a french coffee press, it lets the tea leaves float up into the drinking area instead of being tucked under the press. I'm sure it would do the same with coffee
Great while it lasted... May 30, 2010 For 5 months I thoroughly enjoyed this mug, making 2-3 batches of coffee a day, and the occasional tea. But, the other day, the inner wall cracked (I assume accumulated stress of rapid expansion from pouring in boiling water.) Slowly warming the mug, say, in a hot water bath, may avoid this problem but seems to entirely counteract the point of having a convenient travel press...
Also, it seems the plastic expands just enough to make it difficult for the threading on the lid to catch. I had a few mishaps spraying boiling water over myself when I forgot to double check the lid.
I will next try a steel travel press.

A little tricky. . . May 11, 2010 This travel french press works fantastically as long as you remember not to let the water (and therefore the floating grounds or tea leaves) come above the line where the filter makes its seal. Otherwise you end up with a mouthful of leaves or grounds for your first sip. So a little tricky, but worth it for having fresh french press coffee at hand so quickly and easily.
Great Apr 28, 2010 I bought this coffee press as a present. The recipient has specifically asked for this product because it was reviewed as the best manual coffee press. She is very happy with this press.
